About Tom

Tom Alley is a World Champion bartender, originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has been flipping bottles and slinging cocktails for 25 years, most of which in Las Vegas. He has an inherent love for Food snd Beverage, and cares deeply about the customer experience and the hospitality we employ that leads to the lasting impression we create to our guests. Achieving success on many levels, he decided to create the Bar Stars Happy Hour podcast to highlight the hard working men and women that are the backbone of the industry. Hospitality IS a “real” job, and most people don’t realize how hard it is to be good at, let alone a BAR STAR.

It takes years of hard work, dedication, and practice, to be successful doing what we do on a nightly basis. And we do it with a smile, because we love it. We love the people that come to see us regularly. We love being “in the weeds” and seeing how fast, and properly, we can get everyone served and satisfied. We love making that cocktail you’ve been waiting for all day for, and we love being an ear to listen, if you need one. We love the roar of the bar when the band or DJ plays your favorite songs...and most of all, we love when you come back. We constantly strive to get better at it all everyday.
